Default Sun visor

OK, my own fault, I was playing around with the drivers side sun visor today, and ended up pulling it off its rod.
Needless to say, it does not just slide back on, there are spring loaded bars inside the visor that allow it to stop solidly at various angles. These bars prevent the rod from sliding back into the visor.

Anyone have any thoughts on how to get the visor back onto the rod?
In the meantime I took the entire rod off the vehicle, but still can't get the visor to slide back onto the rod.

Anyone???

Thanks.

You need to buy another one from the dealer and not do it again

When that happened to mine I was able to grind the rod into a point and then with a hammer pound it back in. This seems to be working for the time being on the Drivers side, however on the passenger side it only worked for about two months before it quit holding it's position. Good luck.

Yep, as Jimmy Buffet says, "It's my own damn fault".
I am going to try to grind it down today, but just in case:

Does anyone know the entire MOPAR part number for the drivers side sun visor assembly in grey, and what exactly it includes? Any thoughts on where to get this, other than my "Stealer". Anyone selling one (long shot, worth a try).

Part number is 5KE43XDVAE and runs $11.70 list. So even though it was a mistake, it isn't too costly

Hey thanks.. thats waaay less than I thought.
What exactly does part 5KE43XDVAE include? I checked this on some MOPAR sites, and the part number doesn't come up.

I need the visor mounted to the rod. The rod then has the plastic mounting flange on the other end (where it screws into the top of the windshield frame. Does this part include all that?
Thanks, you are a huge help.

The original part number was 5KE43XDVAD, so that's probably why you can't find it yet. This is a brand new supersession which will include the post and mounting bracket.
