Im not sure if this fits into the section of the forum but i just wanted to tell you a story what just happened to me. Where i live, its cut throat. Everyone will do everything and anything to put 1 dollar more in their pocket and out of yours.
So i bought this bumper for a guy of KIJIJI in Ottawa. I waited and waited and waited for it to get to my place, started to think that i got stiffed. But it comes. YAYyy get down to work on night shift tonight and start taking of the stock bumper...
The guy who sold me this bumper, got someone who is a professional metal worker to "custom build" this for him. He ended up selling the jeep before he installed it.. so i bought it from him.. well.. lets just say what a gongshow.
the only thing well done about this was the welds. Seemed like everything else was wrong. The tire carrier threads <-- retarded. the carrier itself, scratches the top of the bumper anddd the gate is a complete knuckle buster. where the bumper mounts to the frame wasnt even level
. YIKES.. not only that but the tire carrier was positioned so close to the back of the jeep, that i had to take off both plastic tailgate arm covers to squeeeeze the thing locked. so i emailed the guy and nicely told him what the dealio was.
I couldnt believe when i saw the email back that he was going to compeltely refund me. this is a guy from another city provinces away, and had the dignity of doing that. and i didnt even bring up the term refund or anything in the email.
KOODOs to all the people who are like this guy, keep the JEEPers tight like a FAMILY.
im sending him tshirt and ball cap from my department.
