You will more than likely need new front DS if you have an auto.

myself and a few other local Jeepers tore the front DS boot with only 2.5" of lift.
I tore mine with the most basic 2.5" BB Tera offers, pucks and shock extenders.

Also, and this was my experience... whatever lift you get, please buy front adjustable Lower Control Arms. When I was running the 2.5" BB, My jeep was flighty I hated the way it drove.. I upgraded the lower control arms, made them 3/4" longer than stock and it drove SWEET. the wheel fell to dead center all the time and I barely felt the wind on the highway..
I have since changed out the suspension to go higher, 3.5" now. but I still run the adjustable lower control arms, and added rear Teraflex 1/2" spacers.

And again, I would say the single best thing I did with the JK's suspension was the front LCA's

Good luck with your decision.... Joe from Teraflex (sponsor here) is a great guy and can help set you up with a nice lift
The front DS boot was a nonissue for me and my buddy's, as we all have 6spds, not sure what Marcin runs, but your point is definitely a valid one.....I ran the BB for a long time too, it was awesome, never had a problem, but MARCIN is looking for the best lift for around $1k....simple answer is Teraflex 3 inch lift..extra room for the weight of bumpers and other goodies....

go either teraflex 3" or rubicon express 3". the rubicon can be had with bilstein shocks for around $800. plenty of room for 35s. i had rubicon express and teraflex stuff on my tj and was very impressed with both brands. i will definately stick with one of those two when i get a jk!!

or maybe something else...
I assume that selected those two choices due to budget considerations, but if you do a little bit of research you will find it is worth investing a bit more to get better quality particularly for that much lift.

The TF product line offers very good products as indicated by the support shown in the previous posts.

If not, at least consider some of the brands like OME, Rubicon Express and Full Traction.
