Default Switch Tops!

So I spent 3 hours switching from my hard top to my soft top. The hard top comes off easy enough, just can not take it off when I feel like it unless I am home. So I decided to put the soft top on. This was the first time I had ever opened it so I was in for it. I tried reading the manual, it was no help. Nor did the pictures work for me. But after I installed it using the "that looks like it fits there" method I went back and read the manual again and it made perfect since. Looking forward to putting the top down tomorrow.

I bought mine last August and have yet to do that fun task (I was still using my TJ that I have since sold to my son). I guess we won't have to worry about it for at least another month since we are in single digit temp. I can't wait for spring!!

Now I need a place to store the hard top. Just not enough space unfortunately.

Trust Me it is not easy by yourself, Make sure you have someone else with you. Then it is a very simple task.

It was a Great Day & finally got the chance. So I Took it!!!!!

But getting the damned thing back up was a BITCH for sure, until my roomie saw me struggling with it & gave me a hand so that both side went up evenly & at the same time, Then it was a walk in the park!

I live in the Chicago burbs and by looking at the weather, it could be another month before I switch tops. I so have spring fever. Maybe I should move to Cali.

First time you put the soft top up you should lay it up loosely out in the sun and let it heat up this will loosen it up a lot and make it a lot easier.

I had the same problem. I got the brackets from the dealer.
