tailgate rattle...how do i get into it...

Default tailgate rattle...how do i get into it...

took off my spare carrier to mod the lights...
something dropped down into the tailgate...
would it be a cable guide or something...

how do i pop those plastic covers off...

Just take a screw driver and pry it. It worked for me. Be careful not to break the plastic snaps tho

that's my worry...it seems very brittle...

Once I got a corner started, I just used my hands to slowly lift and pop the plastic cover off. It is pretty brittle so slow and easy!

If I remember right you want to pry from the top first. The bottom clips will break off if you dont. Good luck.

thanks guys...it does look like it'll break if i'm too rough...
i'll warm it up with hot air first i reckon...
and then slowly slowly...
