Default Taking it off

Hey gals/ guys, I have a 2010 jeep islander and its summer time so I'm really aching to take the top off! However, where I live the weather changes on a dime so i've been hesitating a little! Well petty much my only and big concern is will rain do anything to my stereo/other electrical components on my dash?

It's a hit or miss. Just do what I do and carry some trash bags with you and if you get caught in the rain or anything while at work cover them

Yeah not a bad idea! i was also thinking about getting a bikini top too! But I'm likin the bag idea!

Alright next question, a little off topic, but couple weeks ago I went wheelin with a couple friends and while tugging my friends land cruiser out I noticed the clutch was over heating leaving a bad smell. However I was in 4hi and was being really easy on my clutch. And I don't know what to think! Is this natural? Should I have Been I 4lo? Or is my clutch just hooped

When you're in 4lo, if you're in motion don't worry about the clutch. The Jeep will go fine in 4lo since it is made for slow travel.

I took my 2012 JK down to the beach a few weeks ago and it ran perfectly in 4hi. Driving on to the beach I had it in 4lo and 1st and I started to notice the smell also but it was fine after the engine cooled off.

Yeah after I tugged him out, we stopped for a fire and the smell went away. wasn't present when wheeling further onto the night so I had assumed it was okay! I was just concerned after my first tug with the jeep. I just hope it doesn't happen after every tug
