Default TeraFlex Lift Question

Looking at the TF 2.5' lift. Would you go ahead and spend the extra for the new shocks? What are the downfalls fo the shock extenders if you go that route?

The shock extensions work great and are cheap. I ran them for a year. The biggest benefit of getting new shocks is that they can give you longer extended length to help offroad articulation. The downside is you may need to replace your driveshaft sooner due to the added travel if you offroad frequently....

This is exactly right. I went with the 2.5 coil kit with the Teraflex shocks. Great articulation for the money, but tore my front driveshaft boot the first time out disconnected and maximum flex. Not a bit deal though as I needed to get a stronger driveshaft anyway.

I already have the lift and opted for the shock extensions and will run my Rubicon shocks for a while to see how I feel about them. I will trade them out if I am not happy with the performance.

I hope to put the lift on next weekend if time permits...

Thanks for the input guys. Would not have thought of replacing the drive shaft. More $$, kind of like being married!
