Thumbs up Thanks Chrystler

My spelling sucks....

Anyways, I got in the mail today a pamplet showing me how to take of my "freedom" tops.

Yeah thanks, after owning my Jeep for over six months now and in the middle of winter, this is great to know, not to mention I figured it out during the test drive.... It's not brain surgery

Is anyone else getting random mail like this?

Soft top owners, like me, got a little card a few months back. Apparently, it's a sticker on new ones.

Count me in! I got Dual Tops with my JK over 2 months ago -- it came with the card for the soft top.

The mailman just dropped off an envelope with instruction on how to remove/install Freedom Top! That'll come in handy!!! Thanks Chrystier!

I can't wait to get the one that shows me how to put gas in the tank!

Step 1) Be sure vehicle comes to complete stop
Step 2) Rotate key 1/6 of one turn toward you to turn off engine
Step 2) Remove seat belt
Step 3) Pull Door handle to expedite exit from vehicle (unless doors removed, if so, skip to Step 7)

Lol yeap, otherwise it voids the warranty. Lol you must receive the instructions first then remove top

Edit: The above statement is a joke. Not to be taken seriously about the warranty

It's part of the BREAK IN PERIOD to leave them on! Remove them PRIOR to getting the card in the mail a year later, and Chrystler is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any leaks from the Freedom Top!

Just so you know, I believe the real reason behind these top instructions is because Chrysler believes that JK owners are incorrectly removing and installing their tops and that must be the cause of any leaking. That is usually not the case.

Every single time (5 times) that I brought it in for leak repairs, I was told that I must not be installing my top correctly. Even when I had not removed it since the last time. Well, Chrysler ended up buying back my JK under the lemon law, as they were allowed to take the whole damn thing off, replace seals, etc, install the top, and it still leaked like a sieve.

Now Chrysler owns a vehicle with a defect in the title, which they paid top dollar for. Thus, I presume that they still believe there's nothing wrong with the tops and that they want to let everyone know how to avoid leaks by providing a handy step-by-step instruction card.
