2007 JKU Sahara, and it would be really nice if I could get that darned light to turn on in the dark with a switch, but I can't seem to find one! Maybe i'm just being massively stupid and missing something, but it seems to only turn on with the door open, and I'd really like to have the ability to turn it on without opening the door.. If worst comes to worst I can always make my own, but.. come on now, there's gotta be a way..

 

I own a 07 Sahara...dome light switch is on the turn signal lever next to the headlight switch!

 

ahahahha... I feel stupid.. For some reason I never thought to switch it that extra notch for the dome light, thanks!

 

The instrument cluster dimmer. Turn it to it's brightest. Next click turns the dome light on. Unclick and its off...

 

Lol its okay..id be lying if I said it didn't take me the better part of a week to find it when I bought mine!

 

Don't know if it applies to the 07s, but on the 12 you can also push on the light to turn it on like a map light.

 

Only the JKU backseaters do that in older models.

 

I just went to the dealership and bought a "replacement dome light" for the rear $30 I think, and used it to replace the one in the front/overhead speaker, then just leave it in the ON position all the time and then all I have to do is push it on and off.
