They fit!!! Color me surprised
looks good! don't worry about running that 35 on the tailgate, it can handle it for a short while as long as your gonna get a tire carrier eventually. I ran one on there for a couple months or so and it was fine. You rather have the spare than nothing at all.
Ya, I ran my 35's for about a month on no lift, and the only rub I ever got was on the rears, going over a big dip with 500lbs of dirt in the back. And my spare is still on the tailgate....snuggly, I might add.
I was actually wanting to see it because he appears to have the stock spare on in the posted pics.
I see jeeps every day with big tires and tiny stock spares. I would not want to limp off the trail without a matching spare.

That is indeed the stock spare still.5th wheel and 35 coming soon. Had to cover the factory wheel in the meantime
I've carried a second 33" spare. I removed the back seat and strapped the spare to the floor. Heck, I've transported four mounted 33" tires back there. I'm thinking that a 35" tire should fit on the floor. Thus, he could always leave the seat home, and lash the spare to the floor for off road adventures and not risk overstressing the gate or the OEM carrier. It won't be pretty, but it will do the job.
Oh, so nice. What could be the drawbacks of running stock with 35"s, on a 2d and AEV rear bumper/tailgate? The worst case probably is with 4 inside and some luggage - nothing near hard rock crawling, just trips off-road.
Could this be used at all, maybe just changing coils and/or shocks?
Awesome Jeep
