Default They forgot something

So a year ago I picked up my jeep. I ordered LSD with it. Last week while stuck in the mud I noticed that only one of my back wheels were spinning. When I got home I jacked up the rear spun the rear wheels and the other one spun in the wrong direction. I asked for my build sheet and it is stated that I have LSD installed. SOOO, I went to the dealer and made an appointment to further investigate the situation. What should I ask for for retribution????

If they truly forgot your LSD, then they need to install one, esp. since it's on the build sheet. Not sure what other restitution they could offer? Maybe an extra set of slush mats to reimburse you for your PITA.

I'm going to see if I can get my hands on a Rubi locker if they have to swap my axle.

Isn't that how the LSD works?

Allowing one wheel to turn without spinning the other tire freely?

Is it with an open rear the tires spin opposite and with a limited slip they spin the same way?

You will only get so much out of the LSD. It's possible it was working to a point, and is now worn out.

Most likely, they will offer to fix your worn out LSD clutches (by replacing the whole differential).

Yes. Worn out is still not impossible, especially if it has spun a lot, or was weak to begin with.

And, you may be right. It's possible the LSD was never installed.

You can pop off the diff cover and look. It you see open carrier and spider gears then you know you don't have it.

I believe with the LSD you can see the "open" carrier and spider gears.
The clutches are outboard of the side gears.

This is from looking at the factory service manual.
