Default Thinking about getting a second Jeep.

Since Chrysler is going into panic mode, I figure I might be able to pick up a 2-door JK at a decent price. Unfortunately I'd like to get a Rubicon 2-door this time but they're still a little high. I saw an X for 18,500 which is a bit high is it not? For the current times? Granted it's sticker and I'm sure I can talk them down quite a bit, but I'd rather get a 2-door Rubi as the second one.

I have about $10,000 to put down on one. How much are you guys picking up 2-door Rubi's for?

My dad was talking to the dealership when my parents were about to buy my JK, and they said they would give him a 2009 2 door Rubi for 22000-23000. He eventually talked them down to offer him it for 20000, and then he talked them into offering a 2009 4-door JK X for only 23000. Thats with all the employee pricing plus plus stuff. I guess they are really in desperate mode to accept almost any prices, even if they push the envelope a little bit. I mean, my dad just knocked off about 6-7 grand on the total price of my JK. Unbelievable but AWESOME!

Now, the dealerships aren't offering that anymore so the price jacked up again to 29000 for 4-doors and 25000 for 2-doors.

I'm not sure about pricing and I may be completely wrong about everything I say on here, but I think 18500 is fine, considering that dealerships around here are upping the prices again.

A few weeks ago when the incentives were on I was quoted $26K for a Rubicon that stickered for over $31K, and that was just the starting point, no telling how much lower it would have gotten if I pursued it and dealed. Now, I can't even find a Rubi on the lots (I'm not really looking anyways though).

I'm looking at Rubicon Unlimiteds right now...

So if you're saying they're upping the prices due to lack of inventory, does that mean I should wait until the 2010's come on to the lots to buy?

I've seen a lot of people saying they are picking up 09 Rubi Unlimiteds for around 26-29K, and I'd hate to have to pay more than that.
