Sorry, but I see so many threads where someone takes a flat black can of bed liner or spray paint to their wheels or front Grill and everyone jumping in to high five them to tell them how much better that looks.
I guess I'll be the guy to tell you how I see it. It looks like shit. It looks like what it is....which is, it looks like someone took a can of flat black spray paint and painted your wheels and grill. If you think that looks good, then let me take that same can of spray paint and paint graffiti all over your house and we can sit back and admire that also. While you're admiring, I'm actually sitting back and chuckling on the inside at how f'd up that looks.
The look of the wheels remind me of a car that has lost it's hub-caps or a demolition derby car with it's non hubcap flat black painted exposed wheels. The Grill reminds me of a car that is going through restoration, where part of the car has been painted while the grill has been primer-ed and waiting to get that final coat of paint put on it. So it looks like an unfinished restoration job....which doesn't look "good" to anyone until it's completed.

Soft top 95% duct tape- that was the CJ5 I had as a teenager - too poor to replace.

Light covers? to each his own, but you must stop and take off to turn lights on.
Boom boxers?

10 ft. dual antennas? Are you sure you are from the South? I thought it was a requirement to live south of the Mason-Dixon!

Bullet hole stickers? Better than real bullet holes.

Just teasing buddy......the whole point to this thread is to get peoples opinions. I don't personally care for blacked out grills myself, however I have seen a few with colored highlight inserts that looked really cool.
Living here in the South we have Love Bugs twice a year. They are hell on your vehicles Paint if not removed immediately. So...I like my Black Line X'd grill. I also applied Clear Protection film around the windshield for the same reason.
I'll bite...
1) Limited to NO chrome. Save that crap for the hip/hop artists and rappers.
2) Mismatched spare. Just spend the extra $250 or so.
3) Mall Crawlers & Posers. If you got the goods, wheel it!
4) Stealership-Suckers. This forum, Project-JK, and Google are packed with "how-to" articles. Why pay someone to take half-the-fun of owning a Jeep away from you? Nothing wrong with trying. Technical repairs are one thing, but an oil change is just plain simple. You're fully capable.
Otherwise, I don't really care what someone does with their Jeep. So long as they wheel it and love the heritage, I'm cool with them. Hell, I'm a prime example. Follow my stupid-a$$ posts about my almost move to New York and selling the JK -- I just can't get rid of this awesome machine. I love it way too much, even if I can't hit 80mph. Will drive it to the end and either build the hell out of it once I acquire the skills to do so, or just purchase whatever new Jeep is roaming the market
Cheers all!
