So we get done wheeling last Saturday, and stop at a friends house. A guy walks out, who is an avid wheeler (mostly older Yota's) and yells at my JK, "Look at this Fu^#ing limo, who the hell wheels a limo????" I can only assume by his apparent ignorance that he was drunk enough that he though we had 3 sets of doors. Anyone else get shit for wheeling a 4-door Jeep??? It was funny however, when I asked where his wheels were and he proceeded to show me the torn down 22-RE motor out of his 4-Runner that was sitting on a motor stand. I politely asked if he'd like to ride bitch in my "LIMO".

 

Good story. I don't waste my time with "haters", who spend considerable time and energy trying to convince anyone who will listen and some that will not, how their particular rig is the sh1t, while everyone else's rig sucks. Unfortunately every make and model of vehicle, including Jeep owners has their share of haters. I will wheel with folks with any make of vehicle, even Hummer drivers.

 

Yep, I will wheel with whomever. Not sure it he was hating on my "LIMO" or just wishing he had one like it. He actually is a hell of a nice guy, he has a TJ and a bunch of Yota's. Hell I'd like to have a straight axle Yota, and bob the bed cut the fenders and shove some big meats under it, a 22-R will run forever. But for now I'll be content with my Jeep LIMO.

 

the only haters i have run into is older jeep owners who think the jk should not have been built because it is not a real jeep........ok. in my opinion, the old jeeps sucked. thats y i didnt buy one. when the jk came out i drooled...had to have..drove it and knew that i would own one. ....a bank loan later i have it and now i get shit from the older jeep owners......oh well. everyone else tells me how much they like my hummer. cant win

I get shit all the time for wheeling a minivan so I just decided to go with it.......

 

I wheel with plenty of JK limos, they have their advantages and disadvantages off road. Sometimes us 2drs have issues on obstacles the 4doors dont, and vice versa. Pretty capable rigs though.

I don't see how a 4dr jk is different from wheeling an XJ or a Land Rover (other then it is more kick ass).

 

I try to be the cool guy, i'm not going to tell you what you should do with $20k+, and I won't force my opinion on anybody, which is why, whenever I get people who tell me how uncool my jk is compared to (insert any other non jk useless 4wd vehicle name here, hehehe, just kidding), and I walk away, what's the point? These people will go to the grave defending their decision, and one way or another, they will never change
