Default Thoughts about warrenty

Last month I went to get my wife's' RAM an oil change and ended up trading my 01 TJ for a 2010 JKU Sport. I had not done any research or even thought of trading in my baby. They had my JK sitting on the lot for so long the dealer said that had to buy it from Chrysler, which that meant to me that they wanted it GONE. It had only 1040 miles on it and sold it to me for 22K (before trade in warranty, taxes, etc). Amongst the shock of me buying a new jeep I bought the Lifetime Power-train warranty. Also, the dealership gave me a "we owe" contract stating that I can buy wheels, tires, gears, lift from them at wholesale price. With all that being said, I plan on doing a lift (mild at first) and gears (4.56 or 4.88) and so forth that JEEPS deserve. Does anybody see this warranty purchase as biting me in ass.

Have you read the entire text of the warranty? It probably addresses aftermarket parts and any damage they may cause.

I purchased what sounds like a similar warranty. In mine I had to purchase a separate suspension altercation clause 100$ (was on the first page). this allows me to lift the jeep 3" with out penalty. You may want to sit down and read to see what all is covered to cover your butt. Btw Congrats on the jk, pics yet?

I've never heard of that. It's nice for peace of mind, though.

I know I purchased the jeep and warranty with out thinking a thing, was already planning mods. So the next day I became curious about what I actually bought. When I saw the clause drove to the dealer that day and they updated it for a 100$ extra. Glad I got my warranty covers every thing except weather seals, wear and tear, and dumbass mistakes. Which inevitably I will do first.

Mine was not the crysler warranty but a warranty extension from the dealer through a thrid party. From what I have read in other post is Chrysler is not mod friendly when it come to non mopar aftermarket parts. It also depends on how mod friendly the dealer is as well, some will over look as long as damage is not a result of the mod. Sorry for any confusion.
