Default Tie rod warranty question

My girl is on a road trip and one of the tie rods on her 2017 JK Wrangler Unlimited Sahara got severely bent. The Jeep was purchased in Nov 2017 and has a Silver warranty. The shock absorber is in bad shape too. The last place to service the Jeep was a genuine Mopar service dept at a Jeep dealership. Is all this on their dime?

The answer to your question will be in the Silver Warranty document.

Accidents and abuse are generally not covered by the warranty. Expect a nice bill from them.

I can't really think of any factory defect that would result in bending a tie rod and a shock. Can you elaborate?

Easier to replace TR with either a factory takeoff for next to nothing, or a decent aftermarket TR that isn't going to bend like a spaghetti noodle on ya. What was she doing when it bent? Surely not just randomly on the pavement. I've no clue what that warranty covers, but I'd agree with the above......damage caused by offroading or abuse is on you, while failure due to defective part is on them. It doesn't sound like this is defective, but more bent through use.

How is the shock "in bad shape"? Is the jeep lifted? Is the shock in bad shape due to not having proper bump stops?
