Default Time to decide

So this comming week i should be getting my first ever jeep. I am looking at either this 05 rubicon 5 speed gray rag top with half doors 43000 miles and nav system for 16,800. Or a new x with the 4.10 gearing and the rear locker for some where around 21,000 im guessing. The 05 also doesnt have rubicon tires on it, they are street tires. How long if the dealer doesnt have a x with the locker, would it take to have it shipped to new york. And what do you guys think is a better buy. Oh and is the rear locker option, a air assit locker? or what?

Having owned an 03 and an 07, I'd vote for the 07 too.

I'd go with the '07. More than likely you will not find a X with a locker on a dealer lot yet, that option was not available until early March and I have been searching the inventories on Jeep.com for the last month in the PA, NY, NJ, MD, DE area and have not seen any X's with it yet. The wait on a 2 dr factory order is about 6 to 8 weeks. The locker is an electrically activated locker.

Seeing as how you're on the JK forum, I'd recommend the JK.

well i figured that, besides 05 or 07, can any one tell me more about the locker. i do plan on taking it on the trials, is it worth it to maybe just get the 4.10 gearing and put a locker in later on bymyslef. Or shoul di just order with the locker and hold out for a sweet ride.

Ditto.

I had my choice of an older Rubi or the 07 Sahara. I am soooo glad i got the '07.

i still want a rubi in the future, but this 07 beats the elder model (to me)
