What the hell? Has anybody ever heard of anything like this?

 

What did they use a hammer to apply the tint?

 

holy crap. How could they do that? tell them you use a squeegee not a hammer to apply the film.

 

Yeah, how did it happen?

 

I would like to know if they broke it actually tinting it (which I think would be all but impossible) or if something else happened and they broke it (trip and drop something into it).

 

Does it matter really how it broke. They are gonna replace it!

 

Was it cold outside when you took it in?

Sometimes the heat differential will cause the tempered glass to heat up too quickly and the molecules basically go from zero to a thousand, way too fast and the glass shatters. Take your fridge shelf out and try to wash it with warm water. It's amazing what happens lol.

Have em replace it and give you free tint!

 

It doesn't really matter, but it's just odd that a tint shop would make a mistake and shatter the windshield... Just wondering if there is a story behind it or what....

Of the windows I've replaced, the rear on the freedom top was the most expensive Fun for the tint shop!

 

...Would be nice if he could explained what happened.
