Default Tinted soft top windows

Gents,

I purchased tinted soft top windows for my JK (back and back Left & Right windows). I purchased off Ebay for a real good deal considering they are like $350 through various sites.

It appears the guy who sold them got the windows from a repo or jund yard or something because the back window came with some white numbers on it (like a stock number or something). I have washed and washed and washed and cant get all the numbers off the plastic. Its not that noticable but I can because I know where to look.

Any ideas on how to get this shit off the windows? Any heavy duty cleaner?

Thanks,

USA

I have the Mopar soft top cleaner which I have used a few times. It goes on like a wax, and you buff/wipe it off.

You could try something like this, but it could make the numbers even more noticeable.

Good Luck.

I had someone scratch across one of my tinted vinyl windows- I took and taped the whole window fabric area to keep compound off the material and used a lambswool buffing pad and 3M liqiuid buffing compound applied liberally and buffed SLOW. Polished it out like new, it would clean any shadow numbers or writing off the windows also.....

Would you recommend doing this on bestop tinted windows? Picked up a few scuff marks today in the pine barrens.

I've used the Novus plastic polish on both my TJ and the JK soft windows with great success. You should be able to find the 3 piece Novus Kit (#1 anti-static spray, #2 fine scratch remover and #3 heavy scratch remover) on eBay for a reasonable price.
