Default Tips for removing 2-door hardtop?

Just removed the top with my wife last night and we had a real tough time getting the thing off. The weight wasn't the issue for us. We just weren't sure where we should grab and lift it.

We gave it a go by each grabbing a side. Then we intended to lift it and walk with it. But it felt too awkward and tippy. In the end, it was easier to remove it on my own ... went under the top right at the back, lifted and walked, then lowered it to the ground and crawled out.

Anyone have any tips on getting the thing off and on with two people?

When I had a hrad top I would have one person on each side holding inside the door and back window seal as low as possible. Then lift one inch and walk back. Trick is not to pull towrad you, then the other person has no room.

Hard tops are a b*tch! That's why I run soft year round in MN :P

(I know they can be nice, but it's my pref.)

Good Luck

Open the rear glass and grab it on the vertical part, lift and then get another hand under it further up. It's easy to lift and you avoid any pinched fingers.

All the weight is in the rear. Like J-Lo.

Get a Harken hoister, they are cheap. Fast, easy one person removal and replacement. Plus, the top is stored up out of the way rather than on the ground.
