Default Tire cover.

Hello all, I am just asking probably a very silly question but here goes. What is the best way to make a tire cover theft proof. I just bought my second tire cover, same design. My last one was taken off my JK at the train station parking lot. Granted, I don't think it was the proper fit for the tire it was protecting but the balls some people have of taking something that's not there's in broad daylight struck a nerve with me. I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts how to protect my new cover. Thanks for listening to my rant.

Yeah, I don't think this one has that feature. I was wondering if anybody made there's theft proof?

I was thinking if anything, make it harder for somebody to take by putting zip-ties thru the elastic bungee cord at the bottom through one of the holes in the rim. Just tossing some ideas around thats all. Thanks

Zip tie would thwart your would be grab-and-go just feel like causing trouble, don't really want the cover thief, but not someone who really wants to take it off your hands.

Yeah will see what happens. I had this tire cover before and really liked it. It just barely fit the spare tire. I had a feeling that this might happen. I just thought with so many people in and out of his parking lot who would take something like a tire cover???

I m always aware that the owner could come to there car at anytime! What balls some people have!!! I figure something out. Was hoping somebody might have Mciver type setup.

Thanks or all your replies!

Is backing the Jeep up against a wall or a fence an option?

Unfortunately no. Where I live you just grab the first spot you see and park. Very competitive! Lol

Mopar has one that is theft proof but (if they want it bad enough) it costs about $100.00. You take your spare off, mount the cover, put the spare back on, cover the tire and zip it up. Really nice.
