Default tire deflator

I'm considering buying the viair tire deflator/inflator, p/n00029, for airing down prior to offroading. Viair is a great product and their on board air is awesome so I figure their deflator would be better than an arb or smittybuilt one. Thoughts and suggestions please. Thanks.

They are a good deflator, but I usually find it faster to just pull the core out of the valve stem.

The air is going to flow faster through a valve stem with no core vs. with a core. You are allowing for a bigger opening for the air to release from. The VIAIR is nice though, as you can set the collar to deflate, and just let it do it's thing. And you don't have the chance of losing your cores.

I use a portable Viair compressor that works great and has the built in line deflator. However, for deflating I use ARB's. It removes the core, slide fitting down to quickly release air. Everything is done with the guage/deflator screwed on to the valve stem. Awesome
