Default rim size

If you are actually going to go offroading , you want smaller rims , not bigger ones , bigger rims are for low riders , not jeeps . 16 to 17 inch rims are the norm for JKs. tires are alot more expensive for 18" rims and up and there are less of a choice of off road tires for taller rims . The difference betweem a 17" , and an 18" tire is about 50 buck each , and taller rims are worse for off road . The lack of sidewall is not good for offroading , more sidewall = better

No, I wouldn't go bigger than an 18" wheel. 17" is probably the best size on a JK, and leaves you many tire choices. You will be ok with an 18" wheel, but you will spend more money

Looking to see what my other options may be, so far its the mt's.

18" wheels with 35" MT's?

To reach their own... but, just out of curiosity, why do you want larger rims?

My only reason for a bigger rim is appearance, I simply like the look better. But, I don't want the total street look. I think with 18's I can have a little of both. Appearance while still being very capable. I'm honestly not a hardcore offroader, so I'm not worried about rock damage or anything.

Something wrong with MT's?
