Default Tire tread issues??

Well i've got a decent amount of odd tire wear. It's not wearing inside or outside only so I can't imagine it's an alignment issue. The problem is the front passenger side tire is all scaly. Outside is low then it's thick tread, then more light tread, then the inside is thick. What could cause this tire wear?? Could it be a bad tire?? It's been consistent for the life of the tire. My driver front is fine with no wear issue. I'd like to try and diagnose it before I have to take it to the dealer and have them look at it. Currently I've got an X with rubi takoffs. I hit the trails now and again but nothing ridiculous. Once my camera battery charges I'll try and take some pics and post them.

If it were a shock it would rough oddly on that corner of the JK. So far it rides the same on all corners. I don't think the caster is adjustable. I'm thinking it has to be a rather "serious" issue somewhere.

If they looked like the rest of of the tires I wouldn't worry about it. It may be tough to tell in pictures but it's a pretty good difference in tread depths.

All mine look like that, rotated every 3000-6000m. No driving or balance problems, I do run 28psi frt and 26psi rear.

I wonder why my other 3 aren't like that. Perhaps i'll have to take a better look at them.

What tire pressures are you running? Check tire pressure on all 4 tires just to confirm or eliminate tire pressure as a possible issue. It might be hard to tell from the pictures, but i'm with SGT. EVIL on this - tire pressure and rotation would be the first place to look at.

Also, how many miles have been put on the Rubi take-offs?

So the issue is lack of rotating? The tires have maybe 13k on them. I usually don't rotate any of my tires. I never rotated my AT's on my lifted XJ the last bunch of years and I don't rotate my AT's on my CJ5. So is it safe to assume the other will do that as well? To late to rotate now? How come the 1 side has cupped sooner then the others?

mine have the slope from less tread on the outside and more on the inside... however, i do not have that one section being much taller than the other in the middle.

i rotate every 6k and PSI constant 30 on 33" A/T's. 2.5" BB, 1" BL...

so could i rotate the tire in a "X" pattern to adjust for this?? (they are not unidirectional tires)
