Default Tire upgrade

Upgrading from 225/16 to 255/17 tires. Do I need to do anything with calibrating gauges like speedo and/or mpg etc?

I would recommend getting a procal to adjust for the speedometer and transmission shift points. They will both be off due to the larger wheels and tires.

What's the "aspect ratio" of both tire sizes?
Ex: 255-75/17

Yes they are 255/r75/17. Goodyear wranglers. Legit what you would get if you went and bought a wrangler unlimited.

Is it a must? No. But the speedo, trans shift in an auto, ABS, etc will not operate as accurately.

A Jeep dealer can adjust the computer for that size tire. Cost???

An AEV Procal or SuperChips programmer will do it.
