Default tire width question

Hope everyones holidays are going well.

Bridgstone Blizzak DMZ3 do not come in stock LT255 75/R17 for our Rubi but do come in 245 75/R17.

Does that just mean they will be 10mm thinner?

thanks.

HEre is the best tool to figure tire sizes!

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Looks like it's only slightly narrower by .3"
Shorter by .6"

Should be no problems at all with that size.

They also come in a 255/70R17 and 265/65R17...

245/75"
31.5" tall x 9.8" wide

255/70:
31.1" tall x 10.2" wide

265/65:
30.7" tall x 10.7" wide

255/75 (stock):
32.1" tall x 10" wide

You wouldn't have any problems with fitment with any of these, but depending on which size you choose it may look a little funny. Anything with a shorter overall height is gonna look weird, but it's not gonna be a huge difference so it should be fine. Have you looked at any other tires that may come in different sizes...preferably something like a 285/70R17? That would look really good.
