Tires!!!!
Had my tires rotated for the first time last week. Since then, ride has been horrible. Took back to tire shop today and tires are balanced, but the tires originally on rear are out of round and had a large amount of weights on them. Tire shop says they never shoul dhave left the factory! I bought this vehicle 3 hrs away and do not plan to go back to exchange tires. I want some more aggressive looking tires anyway
So, I have decided on the GY Duratracs, based on reading threads on this forum. My suspension is stock. Could I get away with 285/70/17 on stock suspension or would 265/70/17 be as big as i can go stock? I searched, but could not find the info in a reasonable amount of time. Thanks.

Thanks for the help!
Yes you are understanding me. With 285's you will be able to stick with the stock suspension for pavement. Also, 285's will work if you have no plans on disconnecting the swaybar or completing any hardcore trails. The Bigger tire will look better IMHO. Lock to Lock steering you may or may not have any issues rubbing it is really depended on each tire width. If it does rub at all, it will be very minor and possibly trimming the plastic air dam and you won't require any spacers.
OK...they moved the spare to the front and put the crappiest of the 2 tires on the tailgate as my spare. Rides better, but not completely smooth like it did. I think I am going to get some more wear out of these tires before I go and spend $1000 on tires. Will post pics once I do get some new meats. Thanks again for your help triplejeep

I have a rubicon and my tires were horrible to the point i could drive over 45mph. So I pulled the trigger on some falken wildpeak at in a 285-70-17 They go on tommorow and were about 100 less per tire than the BFG's Do you have any rubbing issues with your tires
