Default Tires For A JK Are Expensive

I started loking at the tires that will go on my JK (35x12.5). I am shocked.

I have to pay about an extra $100 per tire because the JK has 17" rims instead of 15" rims. That is $500 extra I didn't want to spend.

I really would rather have 15" wheels with a more common bolt spacing.

You could buy some cheap steel 15 inch wheels (if they fit over the brakes) and tires and sell your 17 inch wheels and tires for a few hundred.

I paid $938 including mounting/road force balancing, and tax for five 315/70/17 34.6" tall) Hankook Dynapro RT03 tires. I thought that was a pretty good price.

Docwinkle,
What did it do to your MPG if you don't mind me asking? And yes,...your set up looks fantastic!
