Default Tons of fun

Today an office coworker and I were going to lunch in my stock Sahara Unlimited. The following are the coworkers that walked out the front door and climbed into my Wrangler that he invited to join us without my knowledge:

Me = 183 lbs
Coworker 1 = 165 lbs
Coworker 2 = 415 lbs
Coworker 3 = 253 lbs
Coworker 4 = 318 lbs
Total = 1,334 lbs of human flesh in my vehicle.

The poor Jeep handled relatively well and the acceleration was a slight sluggish. It also had a slight lean to one side because I was driving and the 165 pounder was sitting behind me so all of the weight was over the passenger side. These are very large people and everyone seem to fit fine. The 415 pounder was riding shot gun and was a little squeezed but other than that everyone appeared to be comfortable. I know their weights because we are having a weight loss competition in the office.

And before any asks, no matter how great the demand, I am not posting pictures of these women.

Not to offend but some of these folks need to loose weight or you will be going to their wakes.
I lost a high school buddy last year (48 years young) he was a great guy but his weight killed him, 523lbs at 6 foot tall. His 3 kids are still morning.

It's not easy to do but it can be done, I went from 223 to 180 in a little over a year and have kept it off for 6 years, I'm 5-11.

The seats in your jeep have a weight ratting BTW I think it's in the 250lbs range.

Dang MCDS, he said they are having a weight loss contest. And you are right, it's not easy. Many including myself are addicted to food. And food is something you can't quit cold turkey. Hey that's kind of a pun I supppose. Anyway, it's very rare for people addicted to other things like alcohol, for instance to cut back to having one or two a week. But overeaters do have to expose themselves to nutrition daily. To me that's whys keeping weight off can be so difficult.

Thank you Gene I have said this myself more than once. I dropped 60#+ last year and that was before Christmas. I know I have dropped some more since but I don't have a scale that goes high enough and have not been to the doctor's office recently. I knew/know I have a problem but before I started loosing I went through a lot of stress and balloned 100#+ more than I was and I was already way overweight. My dr said he would quit ragging me about weight if I reach 350# and last check that is like 52 more to go. Like I said though 100 of the overall total came on when my mom was hospitilized and spent 6 weeks in ICU and 7 months in a critical care hospital and while that was no excuse eating what I wanted was my only comfort. People say loosing weight is easy eat right and excercize. Well I say BS I have back and knee problems so a lot of excercize is out or I will be unable to move for a day or so. Eating right is even harder because everything quick to grab and go is bad for you plus when you are addicted to food it would be like trying to get off drugs yet still having to take a shot of morphine 3 times a day.

Dude 223 to 180 is what 43#? For folks on the large end of the size he is talking that would be like you dropping 10# in perspective. It can be done and I dropped 60# last year however that is still a drop in the bucket. when I started you could cut me in half and each piece would still outweigh you at your heaviest. People who start out just a little overweight like you who talk about how it can be done and say look at me piss me off.
