It doesn't hurt to have a small first aid kit as well.

Thats not excessive at all. But what you carry should reflect what kind of wheeling you do. If you are in the rocks a lot then youll need a boatload of tools and some spares. I dont care what you drive, if you wheel the piss out of it it WILL eventually break. heres what I carry, (list is for a toy but could be transfered to any brand really):

Full 3/8ths and 1/2 drive socket set (metric and some standard sizes)
24" 1/2 drive breaker bar
24" 250lb torque wrench
Large C clamp (old style)
4" bench vice fabbed to hook into hitch plug
BFH
screw driver and plyer set
impact wrench
oils
jumper cables
electrical connector, tool, fuse kit
tire plug kit
tow strap 3"x30'
trees strap
shackles
bailing wire
duct tape
jb quick weld
spare nuts/bolts (vehicle specific), pieces of raw metal for welding
hack saw
hand cleaner
rags
spill kit
first aid kit
fire extinquishers
work light
flash lights
shovel
axe
zip ties
bungy cords
rachet straps
Spare U joints
spare axle shafts
spare inner and outer tie rods
spare hub lock out
spare winch solenoid box
Rolled up carpet to lay on while working on vehicle
extension cord, drill and bits (for use with power inverter)
5Gl Gas (depending on how remote the trip is)
10lb Co2

some spares come and go depending on where and what I will be doing. I dont break very often at all really, but every time I or someone in my group has Ive been damn happy I have a good tool/spare set. Just my :2cents:

I was on the trail and a guy had a pretty TJ shiny shiny shiny.. he had shears cuttin small limbs out of the way so he didnt get scatches on the trail and he had a bottle of windex.. every stop he washed the light dust of his windshield and fenders .. He did get stuck alot though.

So add.
1.plant pruners
2.Windex ( or equal glass cleaner )
3.Cleanex for first trail damage
4.Blindfold so wife does not see damage.

Next thing you know he'll get the wax out on the trail and start buffing it with his onboard air compressor! Yay air tools!
