Default Tools for the trail

Hey everyone. I have a question that I'm sure is covered somewhere but I couldn't find it. I was curious what tools everyone takes on the trails. I have the run of the mill wrenches, sockets and etc. Is there anything out of the norm I should be bringing. I have always been in a 1 ton crew can with an 8 foot bed and tool box. Now that I don't have the luxury of more space than a school bus I need to consolidate. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

This has been covered here before, but I'm not sure the title to search for. Most would say a recovery strap. Folding shovel. Jumper cables. Hammer. Duct tape. Electrical tape. Zip ties.

Having just completed a lift install, I can tell you these are the common size wrenches, sockets, and ratchet wrenches you'll want to make sure you include in your tool bag.

15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 19mm, and 21mm.

Don't forget a 35-36 mm for your axle nuts.

Might sound crazy but I always bring a cordless impact, drill and a sawzall with extra batteries.

All the control arms are 21mm, except for the upper fronts which are 18mm. Your front and rear track bars are 21mm as well.

When I was doing my lift install, I scoped out those axle nuts and shock my head because one of the front axle nuts was completely rusted where the outside of the nut was falling apart. Hoping I won't have to attempt to loosen or tighten that one anytime soon.

If you get a moment jack it up and pull that tire.

Spray some PB blaster on that thing, if you ever do have to remove it there won't be trouble. Think it's only torqued to 110 or so anyhow, impact spins it right off.

The best part about this is most of the aftermarket stuff is standard. 3/4, 13/16, etc. Very small difference from 19 and 21.

Larger bolts fit better too, the only thing i think I've bought that came with metric hardware was my arb rear bumper.
