My biggest concern is bird droppings. I have learned the hard way not to park under trees or power lines, cat poop can be an issue. My next biggest concern is teenagers throwing trash into the Jeep. It hasn't happened to me, but someone on the forum had a milkshake dumped inside. Most people will leave the Jeep alone.
That being said, I took the top off on April 19 (birthday tradition) and it won't go back on till Halloween at the earliest.

I took the owners manual out as well! Turns out it was ok for today, So I will keep the top off for tomorrows ride. This time I will wear a jacket in the morning, it was kinda cold but worth it! Love the topless jeep!

I've got the Tuffy cover for the back. I keep it locked up with some bare essantials like a snatch strap and clevis shakels... you never know when you'll find a cute chick in a 2WD truck stuck at the beach! - KY

Go topless for sure!
My word of advice is this,...
Don't be fooled by that very inviting, shade providing tree over there. DO NOT park there.
Birds resting and nesting in said tree will teach you a cruel lesson, for sure.
