Thanks to Ohio's torrential rains, I found a leak in my soft top. It is a fairly small slice. Any ideas on quick, inexpensive fixes? Thank you for helpful ideas.

They have vinyl patches that work on soft tops.

A "quick & dirty" is to clean the area with alcohol, let dry, apply a piece of duct tape on both sides of the tear, press & smooth. I like to trim the edges of the duct tape so that the patch is rounded, no sharp edges before applying. You can also warm the fabric slightly with a hair dryer to help the adhesive bond. "Slightly" is the key word...Spring is coming, hang on!

Took my 07 top to an upholstery shop - 75.00 they fixed the tear and reinforced both sides.

I took my top to a shop specializing in soft top repairs. They charged me $20 to install a vinyl patch and after 3 years it's still holding up great.

Default thank you!!

Thank you all for your help. My local auto parts store was absolutely no help with a patch. ( even though I knew a patch existed, he insisted that one did not) I am now scheduled for Thursday with a local upholstery company for the low price of $20! Beats $655. For a replacement top!
