Default Tow mount

My JK is a base X without tow hooks. If i were to add a trailer hitch with a D ring to my Jeep with out any bumper mods would that be a suitable mount for recovery? I don't want to add one and have it pull off the first time i get towed.

Should be. That would be your factory rear hitch if you ordered it that way new.

You could also buy the factory tow hooks and add them to your Jeep, especially in the front so you'll have recovery points there. For the back you could add the 2009 rear recovery point which wouldn't interefere with your hitch (or do the hitch recovery point).

Throw one of the aftermarket reciever hitches on and then you have the options of hooks or balls depending on your needs. bolts into the same place as the stock tow hook.

Yeah thanks guys. I've ordered a front bumper so i should be good there. i just don't have a need for an after market rear. I'll probably go with a hitch.
