I have to agree with Yamaha! Keep it till she can't go anymore then swap out the engine! That's my plan

Keep it and get a MoTech engine conversion Get IV 5.3 starts at $14k, brand new LS3 $22k, Get V L83 $20k

I would do what mattgt said. Seems like you are satisfied with the jeep over all, really inexpensive fix. Figure what trade in is, what the dealer would charge to fix, subtract the two. I doubt the dealer would fix (however that would be their claim) and pass the issue on to the wholesaler, but get hosed because of the issue. Personally, if you can afford not to trade and you just have a hard on for a new or new to you jeep, don't trade. No trade = 10% to 15% off, which might be more than trade in, then sell it for 4-5k and use it to buy mods. The dealership won't tell you that and if they won't discount walk. This is the stat: if they can keep you on the lot longer chances of buying increases, up 85%; if you leave the dealership, there is. 15% to 20% chance you will come back. They know if you leave, you are headed to another lot. The way to get you back, make the deal sweeter for you
