I am probably going to be trading in my '07 2 door for a '07 or '08 4 door. Right now I have a soft top and half metal doors. I was wondering:

How much quieter is the hard top vs. the soft top?

Also 'X's and Sahara's all come with D44s in the rear right? Hopefully that hadn't changed!

I was thinking Yellow. Right now I have black so I might stick with that. I am excited I am going to go look around this weekend!

 

I'm thinking, half-metal doors are still a coveted option. If I were you, I'd try selling that myself. Otherwise, you let the dealer have the quick sale and profit. Or . . . maybe you could find someone in the local area who'd offer to trade their full doors and a little cash for your halfs. I doubt the dealer would ding you on trade-in, because I don't think he's going to give you anything substantial on trade in for having them. YMMV, but FFT.

 

I have both tops. My soft top isn't much noisier than the hard top. Meaning, not much noise from either one. However, to me a Jeep is not a Jeep without being able to take the top down.
Top down, Doors off, The only way to roll !
D44s in rear is a yes. If you get an auto trans. w/tow package you will get 410 gearing.

 

No 4,10's in the 08's unless its a rubi.. If you werent so far I'd be interested in your 07..

I do like the half metal doors. I am not sure if I am going to trade it in or privately sell it. More than likely I will trade it in.

So you think I should point out the demand for half doors during the negotiating process?? I will be sure to do that.
