Default Trailer hitch basket

I'm thinking about buying a hitch basket to use when we go camping. I was just wondering if anyone had used one of these? How strong are they? Does the spare tire get in the way?

I got one I use for when we all drive down the beach around here. I got mine from harborfreight.com. It was missing some nuts and bolts becuase it didnt ship well but it works. I need to use a hacksaw to cut part of it to make it if around the spare tire. Mine tends to bounce around a bit so a tigher fitting one would be nice.

I have a Hitch-Haul brand one from Walmart. I use it for carrying all sorts of things...it is incredibly useful.

Not sure why I have so many pictures of things on the hitch rack, lol.

I have a Rola Carrier that I have been very happy with. Picked up my set of 35s tires/wheels with it. Held them like a champ!

We have hauled wood, coolers, bikes, & etc. on ours and had no problems.
Just remember you can overload them.

You can always get a hitch extender if you need to. I don't have a basket, but got one for the hitch mounted bike rack.

I have one that looks like what 's in post #4. I comes in handy when carrying a lot on trips with a 2dr, and the OR-Fab carrier doesn't get in the way much either. The tire is up high enough that you still have some room under it.
