tranny and transfer case

Default tranny and transfer case

thinking about doing a fluid swap for both . what do you guys recommend for doing the changes .. what oils ..Synthetic oil or regular oil

do i need to do anything special to do this . moddifier

go with syntethics. They make things shift smoother and are a bit more quiet.

The thing that pissed me off is when I went to change the transfer case fluid, it seemed low to my finger test, so I drained and measured it. the unit was at least a pint low from the factory. Glad I got to it early in its life.

I used sychromax in the 6 speed and Havoline atf+4 synthetic for the transfer case.

Also remember to anti siezed the plugs on both cases. They will corrode in place otherwise.
