ouch that had to scare the crap out of him .....

and for those thinking he was going to fast, I dont see any slide marks from the tires in the snow behind his front tires so I'm thinking he wasnt

he may not have hit the brakes, I'm sure it didn't occur to him that a tree was aiming for his crotch.

This is odd. Looks like a one-in-a-million event. The JK equivalent of being struck by lightning. So a guy doesn't drive around a 4" diameter wooden spear aimed at him? Sounds like a loss of situational awareness to me. When something like this is done with aircraft, it's attributed to "pilot error." Looks like this could have been avoided so easily.

I'm very glad he's OK, but there has to be more to this story. Did he not see the spear? How fast was he going? Did he try to drive over the spear and miss?

I'm just going to take this as a lesson learned -- you're not a knight, so don't joust with the JK.
