Default Trek top

I'm thinking of getting the trek top, my question is with the windows off will a smittybilt cres still work? I thought that the top just uses the rollbar as a frame and might work with the CRES under it. Also are they easy to slide off under a roof rack which is another thing on my mod list.
Thanks

You're asking about a Trektop NX, right?

My guess is no with the CRES under it. You'll probably have trouble getting the cable and bow brackets to come through the CRES. Then it looks like both will be fighting for space to attach under the belt rail. Looks easy enough to run one or the other on any given day though.

As for the roof rack... Depends on the roof rack. Some are designed to tilt back and allow opening a soft top. The Trektop NX opens in sunrider mode similar to a factory top. So it needs a few feet of overhead clearance to swing open.

I've never seen the CRES up close, so I'm not sure how it attaches to the top of the roll bars but I could see a possible issue with the rear bow brackets on the Trektop. I don't have a pic of mine but you can see in the Bestop instructions where that bracket is located. Hope that helps.
