Is the Trektop NX available yet for the Unlimiteds?

 

no... thinking june but who knows

 

Last update was a release date of 5/20, but they are suppose to release a new update today.

 

I was told in February when I ordered min from 4WD that they were to get 8 in at then end of march. (I was #7 and still waiting) I called for an update and was told may and last week was told June. Why would you release a soft top in the early months of the year but wait to get it to the market till summer is here when people want them. I'm about to buy a soft top from craigslist and try to resell when the Trektop gets here.

 

I saw the prototype in Moab, they're still working out the bugs. One thing that was pretty cool is that the front will flip back like a sunrider and doesn't move. Guy running it said it stayed completely still when dropping off steep ledges. Course the removable windows and different configs are what I like. They're having a slight issue on getting it to fit right with aftermarket cage add-ons. Like over the back seats on a 4dr where the center cage brace runs to the back of the sportbar.

 

Just ordered one from 4wd.com and they said nothing about being out-of-stock on their site or when my order was confirmed.

 

Consider it a pre-order, they're not out of stock, they're just not made yet.
I'm gonna order one as soon as my finances recover from the Moab trip.

 

Latest for the JK is 4dr June 5, 2 dr July 15.

I pre-ordered mine from 4wheelparts in Feb. Looks like I won't have it in time for the beach vacation, but maybe in time for the later half of the summer. I may have to put it on next winter and think warm thoughts

Looks like we are pushing well into summer now....

Any chance these dates can change to our favor, I spent a lot of time convincing my wife that the trektop NX was the way to go.

Now she is telling me why i was wrong and how it is my fault that we do not have a soft top yet...
