Thumbs up Tulsa dealer

Hi guys 2nd post here. First things first this place is great! Secondly I am not in any way affiliated with any dealers in my area.

Ok now down to the business. I started out with Jeep in 2006 at Chris Nickels over by Broken Arrow. They got me out of my 2005 Cobalt SS and into my 2006 Liberty. I loved the Liberty a lot. It was my first for pretty much all things off road. I really like the way the sale went also. Although I did not read all the fine print I should have. My bad on that one.

Then about 1 month ago I went to a car show and saw the 07 Wranglers and said to myself man I have to have one. I went back to Chris Nickels as a loyal customer and having paid for over a year on time every time and having good credit by now asking to get into a new Wrangler.

Well first off im 22 I look very young. I like to wear jeans and t-shirts to the dealership. I guess to most salesmen I look as if not worth the try for a sale. At Chris Nickels not one sales man came up to me and asked if I needed help as I walked the lot around the Wranglers. I finally had to walk in a ask for the salesman I got the liberty from.

We sat down crunched some numbers then finally came to a final deal. Deal was only 14.5k for my liberty then sticker msrp on the new jeep. I was very tempted since at the time it was just what I was looking for. I told them I would think about it and get back to them.

I then went to Bob Howards Crown Jeep in Tulsa. I parked my Liberty right next to all the Wranglers and about 2 minutes later as im still looking at the window sticker of the first Wrangler a salesman greeted me.

I was very surprised at how fast they got out to me. I told him my situation and the offers at the prior dealership and then he said lets just see what we can do for you.

I went into that dealer wanting a X with auto, fog lights, and tow hooks. What I found that I really liked was a redrock X with above said items plus lsd rear, 4.10's, hard top, and sat radio.

They made me a deal I could not say no to. They offered me KBB trade in value 16k for my Liberty and on top of that the Wrangler was $$$$ below msrp. They even got down to below KBB invoice price. Well I drove away that night in my new 07 Wrangler X with the t-tops off!

I use to tell everyone that Chris Nickels was great and that iv never had a better sale. Bob Howards Crown blew that out of the water. I will always go back to Crown for Jeeps and Iv got plenty of cards to give out.

Im sorry if this comes across like im trying to sell a dealership. I work as an Advance Technical Support for SprintPCS. I deal with people 10 hours a day 5 days a week talking on phones. I know customer service and I know that it feels really good when I do such a good job that people want to email my manager in order to commend me.

If anyone does decide to call (918-663-4444) or go then get a hold of either Jason Hurt or Mel Graham. Jason was my salesman and Mel was the manager. Tell them Michael Deribin sent ya. They took really good care of me and the whole team was very down to earth and friendly. I did not feel like a lesser being wearing my jeans and a t-shirt

I couldn't agree with you more. My wife and I bought Jeeps from Crown several years ago -- she bought a TJ and I got a Liberty because I really needed a 4-door for family and work reasons.

Then, late last year, we replaced our Liberty and, because Jeep now offered the 4-door Wrangler, we decided to get one. At first, Crown didn't have one available and I didn't really want to wait for an available JK from Crown so we looked at Chris Nikel's in Broken Arrow (among many other Oklahoma dealerships). The salesman we dealt with @ Chris Nikel was fine, but their sales manager was a total jerk and my wife wouldn't go back there again because of the "rude" manner he treated us.

So, we stuck with Crown and they treated us extremely well. I agree that Mel Graham is a wonderful sales manager who also worked with our salesperson on our JK purchase. So, we've now purchased 3 Jeep vehicles from Crown Auto World and we are extremely pleased with our treatment at this dealership.

Thumbs up

Sounds like the same experience I had recently. I was in Chris Nickels twice and was treated like and idiot both times. The first time they wouldn't even let me drive and Unlimted because they were saving the miles on them....I laughed and told them who would buy a vehicle they couldn't even test drive and walked away. The second time the finance manager treated my like crap while I was working a deal. Offered me $2000 below KBB for my trade and told me he couldn't give me the Jeep Discount that I get through my employer.

I went to Crown a few weeks ago and talked with Mel about what I was looking for. He didn't have it but was getting one in. Unfortunately they sold it almost while it was still on the delivery truck in the yard so I couldn't get there soon enough. Needless to say, this morning I left there with a New Red Rock Unlimited Sahara. It has the Khaki hard top which I don't like, so Mel is going to switch it with a black one when one of the next six comes in, no hassle. I got my discount and a fair trade in value. Very happy with how I was treated, even though I didn't get the exact one I wanted but they are doing with they can to make me happy. :toung:

Below is a picture....The top will be black soon and the front windows will be tinted. Plan on putting Ion 171 series black wheels with some 32/11.5 MT tires.

Yes, you have my favorite color combination! I wouldn't trade tops either.

taschult2 I sent you a pm, because I have a question about your purchase since I am looking at nearly the same thing you have.

Hey, where do you all go for off-roading?

We went down to the Camp Gruber ORV Area (not too far from Greenleaf state park on Tenkiller Lake) and had a great time. But, we would love to find somethinig else closer to Tulsa.

Or, do you all have any favorite spots anywhere within the state of Oklahoma?

Thanks.

Well I haven't done much off roading around here. I moved here from the east coast last year. I did some hunting down at Cherokee and Gruber so that is about the only area I know. If you know of others let me know.

Off topic, wow..when did Tulsa start looking so suburbia. Do you really live in Tulsa or are you hiding out in Jenks or Owasso?

If you are asking this question of me, I'm not sure what you are asking. Please clarify.

Are you asking me if Broken Arrow is a bad thing?

Or, are you asking if finding an off-roeading spot closer to home is a bad thing?

Or, do you mean somethiing else?

Thanks.
