Doors?

If you already have a 2 door and want to add a 4 door GREAT! If you don't know what you want, send us your check book and we"ll pick it out for you! Only kidding of course. Buy what you want, if you don't like it, you could always trade your mistake. Wasted THREAD.

Like to camp get a 4 door, haul kids around get a 4 door. Just want to run trails and drive a vehicle that is easy to get around in and easy to park and get better fuel economy get a 2 door.

I have a 4 door my second one, I wanted a 2 door but at the last minute I went 4 door again. I wheel with people who have both and both have advantages. 2 doors rub a heck of a lot less and get turned around easier. Some stair step climbs favor 4 doors some don't. I think a 2 door gets by with smaller tires my 4 door on bigger 35's is Toyo and 2.5 rk lift looks small. My buddy has 2 door smaller 35's or km2 and on the Rubicon he never dragged belly but at the end of the day I had way more room for camp gear etc. and in the morning he took twice as long to pack. His a 2013 mine 14 we got same mpg on the 2200 mile round trip.

Having had a 14 jku Willys and now a 15 JKR it's a toss up on a day to day basis. I wanted a more "traditional " jeep so I went 2 door. I have 2 kids under 6 years old and did a 2,000 mile trip for spring break with a weeks worth of clothes/toys/beach gear for 4 people and it did awesome. Just get yourself one of the aluminum hitch baskets from Quadratec with the waterproof bag and you have plenty of room. A 4 door is 75% easier in that respect.

This is such a ridiculous topic. LOL!

It's like asking what's better, small tits or big tits? HAHAHAHA!

Well actually it depends on small nice shaped ones or big floppy droopy ones?

Question should really be 2 seater or 5. The rear seats are just about useless

Toronto

I did a long trip in my 2 Door with 4 ppl to Hershey Park,Niagara falls, Toronto and New Hampshire White mountains and it was fine. I had a hitch basket and a slapped a big pelican case on it and the 2 door had enough room for 2 weeks worth of clothes and a yeti cooler. Yes with a 4 door your don't have to strap stuff to the top and back but you can make it work. Plus when I got to New Hampshire I was able to ditch the Cargo basket and get some Wheeling done.

Absolutely go with a 4 door if child car seats are in your future.

2 door owner, i drive solo 98% of the time . I like 4 doors on some but most look like a school bus in my opinion . if its done up correctly i can appreciate its look.
I agree the 4 door has more cargo space but given the choice again id choose the 2 door over the 4 door. Its a jeep not a suburban ! none really have enough space otherwise 4 doors wouldnt add roof racks and cargo racks and tag along trailers.
