Default Ugh. First parking lot door ding on new jeep

My JKU is about 5 weeks old. First time since the 1980's buying a new vehicle. Just noticed today somebody in a parking lot must have whacked their door into the side of my jeep. Wouldn't mind if I did it with a rock while off roading, but in a parking lot? Any advice to keep me from staring at that ding every time I get into the jeep?

Call up a paintless dent repair guy. Probably charge around $50 but worth the peace of mind.

Just what I was thinking. ACE sliders come to mind.

Damage is just behind the front fender under the word unlimited. Not sure rock rails would have protected that area from a swinging car door in a parking lot.

Fix it then lift it along with some rock rails and I guarantee that you won't be the one who gets the ding the next time around

As a rule you cant win this debate if you park away from everyone you get the ones that do malicious jealous damage if you blend in you get the arrogant "i just dont care" ones.

I guess it would depend on the shape of the door that hit you. Here are the ACE sliders for reference.

ACE sliders have a kicker tube that sticks out about 6 inches off of the fenders and rocker panels. The'll stop a door and ding the edge of the assailing door as well.

Oh yeah, once you have the sliders installed, go wheel it. Once you scratch something on the rocks that door ding won't bother you as much.

They wouldn't have helped. I got a ding there as well. A good dent doctor can get it out no problem. It amazes me how so many people have zero respect for other peoples property. If I actually saw someone do it, it would be a bad situation for them...
