Default ugly..

ive got a black four door, and i was wondering if i can paint that big ugly muffler that hangs below the stock bumper....i dont have money to get a new system just yet...any thoughts?

several people on here have painted them black with high temperature tolerant paint, like you would use on a charcoal grill.

Yup, I did that. I used high temp grill paint. If it gets scratched just touch it up again.

You're good to go. I used some high temp spray paint in flat black...looks much better. Just like has been said, it's high-temp paint like what's used to paint a BBQ grill.

x2....I used grille paint from Wal-mart on my Gibson exhaust. Make sure you sand any rust or dirt of it first.

X2 Me too, high temp. flat black. Just go to Lowes or Home Depot. No need to pay extra at a auto parts store. Takes 10 mins., looks better.

I've done it on both JKs. Just spray away. Didn't remove it or tape anytging. Looks great and is easy to touch up.
