Default Upgrading to Rubicon

Hey All,
With all the employee pricing, rebates, and cash incentives going on, I was thinking of trading my 07 X in on a new Rubicon. Are there any thoughts or concerns that I should be aware of? I've got the upgrade bug bigtime!

Thx...

You would be better served upgrading what you have. You are going to loose a ton.

If that is not a concern. Go for it.

I will second that. You could also go middle of the road on this one. Sell your 07 privatley ( read that as you) because you will get about 15-20% more for it that way than you would on a trade in, then use the proceeds towards the purchase of your 09.

Selling private/buying private is probably the way to go unless you absolutely have to have an '09.

Look for an '07 or '08 Rubi and sell your X to fund it.

Either way, I think if you traded in at a dealer for a new one you probably wouldn't be too bad off. You won't realize as much of a deal ('cause you WILL not get as much for it on trade as you would to sell it privately), but you'll still be better off (I think) that if you'd have bought a new one 6 months ago.

Have Geithnet print some more money for you and get the new Rubicon and mod the crap out of it!

If you really want a Rubi, and you have the money, then go for it as the prices are not going to get any better.

You may be able to come out with equal to less payments. I know someone who just traded in their 08 for an 09 and they have way less interest, so their payments actually went down!

good luck! You will NOT be sorry for the Rubicon. Well worth it.

Go for it! The pricing and lifetime warranty on a Rubi are well worth the few bucks you're gonna loose. Hell, I'm even contemplating trading in my '07 Rubi for a '10 come August...

There is nothing logical about Jeep fever!

Yeah I plan on having a pile of parts in the garage for the new arrival. (Suspension, wheels and tires, custom bumpers, etc.) Not to mention the current order coming from Northridge.

The dealer already told me that they cannot locate an orange one...first choice.

I am starting to wheel more frequently and this seemed like the perfect time to upgrade to the big gun.

I have a plan when I go to make the deal and, if they don't meet it, I walk away. No worries.

Thanks for all the advice. I figured I would solicit my peers for opinions. Besides who else would know the addiction more! I will post pics if all goes as planned.
