Anyone know when they will have upper slider windows for the half doors?

 

Bestop says they "have no plans to make these". Someone, I think Rampage had some advertised that quickly vanished. The rumor was a patent dispute. Sounds like rampage still plans to make them eventually.

 

I just hassled BestTop also...I hope someone starts making them....

 

Maybe if a bunch of us hassle BestTop they'll start making them. Just a thought.

The more request they receive the more chance we have they will start making them.

 

As much as I'd like to think that is true, the can get the production numbers of the half doors made, and assume they may reach a percentage of them and decide if it makes sense to go into production. Since hardly anyone has half's, I am not counting on it.

I heard they hold the patent on the uppers and that is why Rampage doesn't have them yet. Who knows, may be internet rumor, but if it isn't, it ticks me off the mindset that "we aren't going to make them and won't let anyone else make them either"

 

I am going to guess that since they didn't make them for the JK they are not patented. But who knows? Rugged Ridge also makes them for the TJ etc. so I think the patent thing is BS.

I will buying them when they come out.

I've read on another thread that rampage is working on a 2011 version with sliding glass.
