Wait for a 2012?
Just wondering if I should wait for the 2012. I don't plan on getting a Rubi, but I want the diesel if possible. I also know if the diesel doesn't come it may still be worth waiting for the pentastar. The only thing making me want to purchase sooner is the possibility of the diesel being too expensive an option, and Chrysler making too many changes to the exterior for my liking. Also, anyone wanna buy a 2004 Mazda Rx-8? Haha.

Already have one.. 2004 GT RX-8 6-Speed.. and it would take you prying the keys out of my cold dead hands..
I love that car. (Of course it only get driven in the summer.. thus the need for the Jeep..
)Hmm.. I wonder if the Rotary engine would have more power then the 3.8L... That could be fun mod...
i would 100% wait. youre already this close... another 8 months or so? maybe 10 at most. i would wait.
imagine how pissed you would be if you get it now, and then the new motor and any random new goodies.
probably will be able to run big tires without regearing! and new auto trans if thats your thing

I'll also most likely not be going bigger than 33's. 35s MAX. I don't want a "rig"

I just got the 2011 rubi and couldnt be happier! The only thing the 2012's wil have different is the engine. which is new and untested. The wimpy engine in the jks now only needs a new throttle body and cold air intake to give it a bit more pep. maybe a superchip. but i didnt buy it for speed.
I guess though if you want a 4door then wait till 2012 cause the new engine will make more of a difference with the heavier body.
but that'll also be another 10 months of waiting hahaha..... and make sure you post some sweet pics whenever you get one!

I'd wait. Not necessarily for the new motor, but think how cheap the 2011's will be when the 12's come out. Everyone will be trading in the current 3.8 turd for the Penty, and there will be a surplus. Delaers will have deals out da whazzoo to move the 2011 3.8's.
I tend to agree. The JK ROCKS! And it does what I need it to do. However it would be nice to have a larger motor. But I would say I have so much fun in my JK every day that I would buy one now, I would not wait for the poss of a larger motor. Get one and enjoy it.
If you're not in a hurry wait til 2012 models come out in Sep/Oct. Waiting will give you a chance to see what the 12's will have. The 11's will still be available (at a discount) if the 12 disappoints.
