Default Warranty

I have a 08 Rubicon 4D and its a DD----Had to carry it back to the dealer today--the trans. oil pan gasket was leaking, while talking to the service rep. I asked him if I put a 2"lift on would it void my warranty YES.....I think they are full of BS...the OME will go on next week.

He was completely wrong. There is no way they can deny warranty because of a lift. There are some posts on here discussing this. I know Wayoflife has answered this question in the past. Put your lift on and rest easy.

Look up the Magnusson-Moss Act. The short of it is that they can only deny a factory warranty claim if the modification was the cause of the problem. Extended warranties are not equally covered.

And here we go again. The can of worms has been opened again.

Hey, it's been at least a couple of days since the question was last asked? Right?

If you would read the post----I did not ask a question for the members here--I asked the dealer service guy. I was not trying to open a can of worms
Have a great and safe day.

Read this, understand it, bring it to dealer if they have any questions:

Here's a funny one. My roof header broke. When I tried to claim it on my Extended Warranty - which was not Chrysler - they told me that " Your Roof is not a covered part of a vehicle. If it is a Hard Top or Soft Top that can be removed it is not an integral part. Now that's bogus at it's best. My Dealership stood up to the plate and replaced it anyway for my @100.00 deductible. Not that I liked paying the money - but it solved the problem. Read your Extended Warranty carefully before you buy one. Now I have a 2008 part on my 2007.

My dealer in Texas covers mine, with 5 inches of lift on 37s
