Default Warranty Question

Does putting on a lift void the powertrain warranty. Also does using after market parts besides mopar (catback exhaust, air filter, bumpers ect) void any of the power train or three year warranty requirements.

IMO a dealer will look for anything to void a warranty.

Default From a Chrysler Employee...

I was a Dodge Jeep Chrysler Salesman before the Market took a crap. I asked my Service Advisor the same thing. His answer was, " you can add aftermarket parts all over your Jeep. But if you mdify it to the point where the OEM parts have abnormal amounts of stress, or can't operate to their full potential, AND we can prove that by inspection, we will void any clain for warranty repair on that specific part and move to the next concern". Then he winked. Mentioning that the service shop has to be able to prove you had aftermarket parts on. Take that how you will.

It all depends on the dealer, some are mod friendly some arent and will blame any aftermarket part when they can. Its a crap shoot Ask your dealer just to get a feel if they are mod friendly.
